Chestnut Lodge is a traditional log cabin, situated on a working farm. It overlooks open fields and is surrounded by its own garden.


Within easy reach are Blackpool and Morecambe seaside resorts the Lake District National Park and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Beauty

Chestnut Lodge is a traditional log cabin built with timber from Estonia’s renewable forests, situated on the outskirts of Pilling village on a working farm. It is a great place to be if you are looking for somewhere quiet to escape or a base to visit the area. 


The area is very flat and we have many country lanes to explore.  Morecambe bay and is used regularly to ‘twitch’ for the many sea birds feeding on the tides in the estuary.

The lodge accommodates 4 people in a king size and a twin room.   

There is a cot and  high chair available upon request.


The Lodge  has a  shower room, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, utility room with washing facilities, an open plan living/dining area with a log effect gas stove as well as under floor heating. It is fully furnished to a high standard.

Chestnut Lodge has its own driveway and private secure garden with a patio area and garden furniture.


The area is rich in wildlife, especially birds. Just before dawn the resident Tawny owls and the Barn owls are frequently seen flying past the lodge and down the open fields and after dark the bats come out to play.

It overlooks open fields and surrounded by its own garden. It is an ideal base for bird watching, fishing, walking or cycling. Under floor heating plus gas log burning fire. Ample parking. Wheelchair access.
